Guard (Strázsa) Hill stands on the western edge of Pilis and the entire national park. The area has been used as a military firing range for more than a hundred years, which has preserved its natural values almost intact. The 2.5 km long forest history trail has information panels about the area’s wildlife, forestry and wildlife management processes. The lighthouse lookout can only be visited with a guided tour. From its upper level you can enjoy a magnificent view of Esztergom and the surrounding wooded landscape.
